Marijn Koolen

Marijn Koolen is a researcher at the Huygens Institute. He is involved in several research projects within the fields of Digital History and Computational Literary Studies. He studied Artificial Intelligence and got his PhD in Information Retrieval from the University of Amsterdam. He has organised international evaluation campaigns for book search and recommendation systems (Social Book Search) and has been researching the value of online book reviews for recommender systems and for literary studies since 2010. His research interests are digital history, computational literary studies, information extraction and online book discussions.
